| Bio: | I do stuff. Bok bok bok. If you are on tribe, I write more there. I usually don't think much about astrology (to be honest I think most of it is jizz), the description of my sign, Sagittarius, pretty much says everything about me. I am not good at writing about myself so you just have to roll with it. Warning: LONGMy Sun Sign: Sagittarius, November 22 - December 21 Sagittarius, the ninth Sign of the Zodiac, is the home of the wanderers of the Zodiac. It's not a mindless ramble for these folks, either. Sagittarians are truth-seekers, and the best way for them to do this is to hit the road, talk to others and get some answers. Knowledge is key to these folks, since it fuels their broad-minded approach to life. The Sagittarian-born are keenly interested in philosophy and religion, and they find that these disciplines aid their internal quest. At the end of the day, what Sagittarians want most is to know the meaning of life, and if they accomplish this while feeling free and easy, all the better. It's the Archer which represents Sagittarians, although in this case it's a Centaur (half man, half beast) which is flinging the arrows. Centaurs were the intellectuals of ancient Roman mythology, and Sagittarians are quick to consider themselves their modern-day counterparts. Those born under this Sign are clear thinkers and choose to look at the big picture most of the time. They also like it when others agree with their well-thought-out point of view. The alternative to this, for better or for worse, is a Sag who can become argumentative and blunt. That's not to say that these folks are intransigent -- Archers will listen to what others have to say, in keeping with the Mutable Quality assigned to this Sign. Indeed, Sagittarians are enthusiastic consumers of information (and enthusiastic in general), the better to get the answers they need. It's also a good idea to give Sags lots of room to explore their world. Once these folks start to feel hemmed in, they'll become impatient and difficult. Sagittarius is ruled by the Planet Jupiter. In ancient Roman times, Jupiter was the King of the Gods, and most Sagittarians would say that the royal pedigree has been passed on to them. The Sag-born are generous and just, much like a noble leader. These folks are also expansive in their thoughts, as well as in their approach. Sags are forever reaching -- for knowledge, understanding and answers. They are outspoken in their beliefs, at times to the point of exaggeration. This may be due to their unflinching optimism. Sags are also a lucky bunch, thanks to Jupiter's golden glow. They're quick to take a gamble on things, feeling both lucky and smart. While the process of exploration is what fuels Sagittarians (and translating that to others as a teacher and philosopher), they need to be aware of their tendency to procrastinate. Those born under this Sign can be quite self-indulgent since things come so easily to them (thanks to their charming and sociable natures). Smart Archers, however, will catch themselves in time, the better to continue their good work. The Element associated with Sagittarius is Fire. Just as a fire can move quickly and uncontrollably, so can Sagittarians as they flit from one thing to the next, never looking back. For the Sag-born, it's all about action and adventure (and, hopefully, conclusions). These folks love their physicality and are often athletic, and certainly full of stamina. Life for these folks is played full-on, which is why it's chock-full of experiences. Archers are outgoing, enthusiastic and tend to overstep their bounds as a result, falling prey to the likes of foot-in-mouth disease. They can talk so fast (and so much) that they don't process the full weight of what they're saying, leading to the occasional hurt feeling. Often, however, their words serve to inspire others and to get things going. Yes, Sagittarians are straight-ahead folks who are curious, spiritual and true believers. The fact that they attract others with ease should be no surprise, since they have a great sense of fun and enjoy a good time. They don't lack for confidence, either, not a whit! High-spirited Sags love to socialize -- with an ever-changing crew. The athleticism of Sags lends itself to challenging sports, and they definitely know they're up to the task. That's why you're likely to find them in an around-the-world solo boat race or climbing up the highest peaks (where they should be mindful of their legs and hips). No stretch is too big for a Sag, if only because these folks know they're ready (and lucky to boot). Mental games such as chess or debate also fuel the Sag's mood. Moody colors they'll wear, since they favor rich maroon and navy hues. When it comes to love games, the Archer is playful, flirtatious and always on top. The great strength of the Sagittarius-born is their philosophical, wide-open and curious nature. These folks seek both knowledge and truth, and they are eager to share their explorations with others. Their optimistic and generous spirit makes them a pleasure to have around. My Beauty Profile While travel is an ever-present longing for Sagittarians, on a day-to-day basis this translates to a need for freedom, an intolerance for constraints and habits. You're a Mutable Fire Sign, meaning you're not only creative and innovative but highly flexible and adaptable to change -- in fact, you love change and see it as an exciting challenge. So, when it comes to your beauty routine, Sagittarius, you travel light, ready for the next adventure. Career Profile The freewheeling, happy-go-lucky Sagittarius is a good person to have on the sales team -- they'll probably get the order, hopefully before they unintentionally insult the client! Sagittarians like to have fun, smiling and laughing with colleagues and feeling as if Lady Luck is on their side. They are also passionate about what they believe in and, as befits a Fire Sign, will work doggedly on their causes. The Archer is a good team player who can plot the course ahead with broad brushstrokes and convince everyone around that it's the way to go. The most important Sagittarian quality may be hope. If you're on a sinking ship, pray that a Sagittarian is on board! These positive, optimistic people can do wonders with something they believe in, which makes them ideal for turnaround or public service situations. They also need freedom and plenty of room to roam. The Archer is adept at social situations (sly?) and insatiably curious (spy?). Knowledge is power to those born under this Sign, which makes them excellent researchers. What to do with all this information? Put it to work, of course! There's lots to be done where the Archer is concerned. Travel is the Archer's middle name, and this isn't restricted to a wandering mind. While Sagittarians love to philosophize, they also like to hit the road, visiting exciting lands filled with exotic strangers. They won't be strange for long, though, since the Archer connects easily with people and will quickly learn everything about them. This can be a double-edged sword, though, since Sagittarians tend to look at the big picture and neglect important details. An efficient aide de camp is essential for the macro-wired Archer. The Sagittarius office is often no more than an address, since the Archer would rather be elsewhere. When they hit the road, it will probably be in a spacious American sedan -- a 50's era "boat," fins included, would be about right. A few colleagues might jump in and everyone would roar off to a Mongolian barbecue. Sagittarians are well-suited as travel agents, explorers, professors, photographers, ambassadors, import-export traders and thrillseekers. Karmic Lessons Those born under a Sagittarius Sun are some of the happiest, most optimistic people around -- as long as they feel free and unrestricted. They are truth-seekers who want to discover everything the Universe has to offer; they pursue this goal through traveling, meeting new people, tasting new foods, reading new books and theories, and they love it all, as all of it contributes to their feeling of coming closer to some ultimate knowledge. Trouble for a Sagittarius comes when restrictions, responsibilities and expectations start to pile up, as they inevitably do. To Sagittarius, maintaining a steady job or relationship is synonymous with being tied down. Sag has the mistaken idea that commitment is a reduction in that all-important freedom. Its Karmic lesson, then, is to learn that commitment and freedom are actually two separate entities that don't have to be mutually exclusive. Commitment is about dignity, integrity, keeping one's word -- all high-minded ideals that Sagittarius normally prizes. Taoism teaches that only through accepting and bearing responsibility can one be truly free; Sagittarius is likely to be very familiar not only with Taoism but with many other religions and schools of thought as well, as religion and philosophy are two of Sagittarius's greatest interests. Along with all these mental pursuits, however, comes the tendency to be dogmatic and argumentative. Sagittarius may even like to argue just for the sake of argument; could this be a way of showing off that superior intellect to others who may not be so educated or philosophically-minded? Beyond simple argument, Sagittarius, a Fire Sign, can actually be too fiery -- those born under its influence can be hot-headed, losing their tempers at the slightest provocation. Taoism, Buddhism and other Eastern philosophies could actually have a lot to offer Sagittarians in learning to be peaceful, humble and passive. Fiery Sag also tends to be a risk-taker; all that travel and constant adventure lends this Sign a real taste for thrills. But like its tendency to argue, Sagittarius's risk-taking may be only for its own sake, not for any actual benefit or particular outcome. Aside from kindness and love, anything done solely for its own sake is likely to be an empty pursuit. Furthermore, taking risks can have disastrous outcomes; Sagittarius must learn which risks are worth taking and which are better avoided. This kind of caution and self-restraint can be learned from Sag's Virgo friends, who have mastered the art of using careful analysis to determine a course of action, rather than impulse and intrigue. In fact, people-loving Sagittarius would do well to look to others to learn many of its Karmic lessons. Pisces possesses the compassion and empathy that Sag may lack; since Sagittarius tends to equate emotional connection with dependency and restriction, those born under its influence can have an air of unemotional interest in others' problems and worries. Sag tends to listen to people's problems in order to learn more, but not so much to make others feel heard, comforted and understood. This tendency comes from that overarching thirst for knowledge; Sagittarius can learn from fun, carefree Gemini about how to avoid becoming dogmatic, as well as how to take the pursuit of knowledge a bit more lightly. The Myers-Briggs Temperate Sorter is also pretty accurate: Rationals, are the problem solving temperament, particularly if the problem has to do with the many complex systems that make up the world around us. Rationals might tackle problems in organic systems such as plants and animals, or in mechanical systems such as railroads and computers, or in social systems such as families and companies and governments. But whatever systems fire their curiosity, Rationals will analyze them to understand how they work, so they can figure out how to make them work better. In working with problems, Rationals try to find solutions that have application in the real world, but they are even more interested in the abstract concepts involved, the fundamental principles or natural laws that underlie the particular case. And they are completely pragmatic about their ways and means of achieving their ends. Rationals don't care about being politically correct. They are interested in the most efficient solutions possible, and will listen to anyone who has something useful to teach them, while disregarding any authority or customary procedure that wastes time and resources. Rationals have an insatiable hunger to accomplish their goals and will work tirelessly on any project they have set their mind to. They are rigorously logical and fiercely independent in their thinking--are indeed skeptical of all ideas, even their own--and they believe they can overcome any obstacle with their will power. Often they are seen as cold and distant, but this is really the absorbed concentration they give to whatever problem they're working on. Whether designing a skyscraper or an experiment, developing a theory or a prototype technology, building an aircraft, a corporation, or a strategic alliance, Rationals value intelligence, in themselves and others, and they pride themselves on the ingenuity they bring to their problem solving. Rationals are very scarce, comprising as little as 5 to 10 percent of the population. But because of their drive to unlock the secrets of nature, and to develop new technologies, they have done much to shape our world.
